SUMOCHAM Drills

SUMOCHAM drilling heads are available in the diameter range of 8 to 25.9 mm. The drill head has ground flutes for smooth, constant chip flow and a ground gash for improved penetration.

The drill shank design is according to DIN 9766 standard, with available drilling depth to diameter ratios of 1.5XD, 3xD, 5XD and 8xD. All drill bodies showcase coolant through holes. The accurate cylinder added to the clamping portion increases durability and reduces internal stresses. The rotation stopper planes are accurately ground, which enhance the control on the drilling head position and support, increasing tool performance and life. ISCAR's innovative SUMOCHAM drill line will furnish longer tool life and increased productivity.

DR-DH Deep Drills

DR-DH drills can obtain drilling depth-to-diameter ratio of 7XD and up. Engineered to be employed on standard horizontal milling centers, turning, and multi-task machines. Use of supplemental machine and setup can be avoided. They will be obtainable as semi-standard product in a diameter range of 25.4 to 69.5 mm (1.00 - 2.73").

Two versions will be available:
A Single Flute DR-DH-31.65-0350NC-2FS is a very rigid tool that has a patented chip gullet design. It was engineered for easily cut materials such as cast iron and low alloyed steel.

A Double Flute DR-DH-31.65-0350NC-2FD has a double chip gullet for improved chip flow. It was engineered for drilling gummy materials like non-alloyed steel and high temperature alloys.

ISCAR DEEP HOLE DRILLS

With ISCAR's innovative solid carbide deep hole drills, you can safely drill up to 22 times diameter and arrive bottom10% faster than with other solid carbide drills - and six times faster than a HSS drill. This capability can speed up several high-volume operations. The deep-hole drilling station no longer needs to slow down a transfer line or stop it fully because a drill breaks.

Different target applications encompass deep holes for automotive, hydraulic blocks and die & mold work. A mixture of features assist the twist drills to cut faster, straighter,deeper, last longer and discharge chips more surely. A specialized high-strength core creates a more enduring drill point and allows for deeper flutes, enlarging the exit path for chips.
